14K gold filed offers a similar look, wear and care of pure gold jewelry at a fraction of the cost!

Types of gold jewelry

We primarily use 14k gold-filled metal for our gold jewelry. Some of our huggie earrings are crafted from gold vermeil, which consists of a layer of gold applied over a sterling silver base.

Gold vermeil is designed for everyday wear and will maintain its colour when kept dry and away from moisture.

a bit about

Sterling Silver

Composed of roughly 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper or brass.

  • Durable
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Waterproof

Sterling silver naturally reacts with sulfur in the air, which can cause it to darken over time. This is a normal process known as tarnishing, and it can be easily cleaned. Sterling silver will not rust or cause skin discoloration.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR JEWELRY

  • Avoid contact with hygiene products: Keep your jewelry away from lotions, soaps, perfumes, and other personal care products, as these can damage the finish.

  • Steer clear of harsh chemicals: Avoid exposing your jewelry to chemicals such as chlorine found in pools, as these can damage the metals.

  • Remove before physical activities: To prevent pulling, tugging, or scratching, take off your jewelry before engaging in activities like sleeping and exercising.

  • Cleaning your jewelry: To clean, gently scrub with water and mild soap using a soft cloth or brush.

  • Waterproof but best kept dry: While our jewelry is water-resistant, removing it before showering will help maintain its shine and prevent buildup of soap or residue.

As always, handle your jewelry with care and love to ensure it stays looking beautiful for years to come.

Gemstone care

  • Most of the gemstones we use are water-safe, with the exception of turquoise, which should not come into contact with any liquids.

  • Freshwater pearls may lose some of their natural luster if exposed to moisture.

  • Gemstones can accumulate a dark residue around the hole, which is simply a buildup of skin cells, debris, and dirt. To clean, gently wash the gemstone with water to restore its appearance.
